It's finally here. Final matches have been played and its time to say goodbye, as after 12 or so years of sterling service, courts 1 & 2 are being replaced. We've allowed 2 weeks for the works to be completed, but all being well and with a decent wind behind us, we could be playing on them again in the next week.
A decent group of volunteers have completed a spring clean of the clubhouse and container today, a couple of them even did a run to the recycling centre. Half of the patio has been pressure washed, an old notice board taken down and a new one put up. Rackets regripped, first aid boxes audited and restocked. Jamie fed us plenty of bacon and haloumi baps - and for once I wasn't cooking. The recycling bins have been moved to a new store (and we have new shiny ones coming this week) and the bar fully restocked. If you want access to the bar let me know.
Watch this space for progress of the refurbishmant.
