The Avon Aegon LTA have awarded BSTC Club of the year for Avon out of 52 Avon tennis clubs and put us forward for the Regional and if successful then National awards with a prize of £5,000. We are the first club in Avon ever to be given this brand new award.

We have been recognised for this award for our team of volunteers who have enabled our club to thrive and be successful. They applauded us for actively encouraging Tennis for all encompassing all generations from 3yrs to 80yrs old, and all standards of tennis from our many Adult and Junior/mini league teams to those playing for pleasure. They also commented that we have low memberships fees which means our wonderful facilities are easily accessible to everyone.  

Club chairman Hilary Cripps said: “We are delighted and very proud to receive this award. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those who give their time and efforts so freely now and in the past for the good of our club: members of the committee, trustees, league team captains and players, parents and parent captains, all the volunteers helping at our club events, the many long term members who have contributed so much in the past and continue to do so, and all those who do their best for the club in too many ways to mention including our hard working coaching team. A club is only as good as its members and Avon LTA has given our members its seal of approval. Congratulations to one and all.”
