Club Closure - January Lockdown

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister, it is necessary to once again close the tennis club with immediate effect. It is clear in the guidance that all outdoor tennis venues must close.

The courts at both Bishop Sutton and at Chew Valley School will be closed to the club members. Existing bookings will be cancelled and you will not be able to make further bookings for the lockdown period on Clubspark. The junior programme, adult club sessions and all individual coaching are also cancelled from now on. Mike or SJ will be in touch with parents regarding the junior programme in due course.

The committee appreciates that this is very disappointing for all of us especially as we all know the benefits of tennis, and have seen first hand how we have managed successfully to allow play to continue in a Covid secure way. We will keep a very close eye on developments and be ready to re-open the club as soon as we possibly can. So can we respectfully ask you to adhere to our closure and not visit the courts or the clubhouse on either site during the lockdown period.  In the meantime, stay safe and keep fit and ready to play as soon as we are able.

Best Wishes

Your BSTC committee
